Fun game but the car balance is really bad.
If you're struggling on the expert cups the f-90 and the carbon make them into total jokes. It's a shame really because mechanically the game is enjoyable but the other cars just can't compare.

Maybe different race classes would help, so that only certain cars have to compete with each other. This could also help to fix (undo) the confusing tie between difficulty setting and top speed.

I used the light speed car to beat them in about 40 minutes or so. Slipstream makes most cars viable

Yes everything is beatable in the other cars but it doesn't really change how strong those two are.

Afaik the super Catch-up balances out everything very well xD

not on expert. if you race a carbon with one of the other speed cars you can just barely keep up if you slip stream 90% of the time. But you have no chance to overtake. So it boils down to you slip streaming all of the time making no mistake and just praying that the carbon driver will fail at some point.
it is fun in its own regard (reminds my of the angle car event in ridge racer) but it is not balanced at all. talking about online mplayer btw.

or the mongoose. they are literally the s h i t t i e s t cars in the game and I don't know why they would do that to a car like the ford GT

Edited: I thought some cars were bad, and maybe they are, but after some time, you can win all GP's in any car. Thanks for the developer for the heads up! (shown below)

You can use literally any car in singleplayer. As a meme I beat all the GP's in the Rennen (slowest car in the game). In multiplayer as a slow car it's pretty much impossible to get 1st place, but you can easily come in 2nd/3rd.

As mentioned above you can beat all GP's in all the cars with some practice. Players on the Hotshot Racing Discord have found other cars just as fast or faster than the F90 or Carbon and are now setting new Time Trial World Records! https://discord.gg/4KXktv
