That fixed it thanks Solid! Unplugging my other controllers let my Hori Apex work with the game. Sweet!
I have a second input device that even though I've attempted to disable its drivers, it apparently still gets detected by the game and takes over once in a race.
Weirdly, the keyboard can override it, but not my Xbox gamepad...
Just the few seconds I spent trying to run the course with the keyboard, the graphics and everything give e the feeling that Horizon Chase Turbo is far superior. But that is first impression. Of course I have to play it more to be fair.
