Manual Transmission not working?
I'm trying to play with an Xbox One controller. The game is fun so far, but shifting gears in MT seems to not work. I have to mash the bumper and hope that it eventually shifts. I've tried letting off the gas when shifting and it doesn't seem to change anything. WTF is going on?

Yeah, same here, I thought it was only me or my controller. I've been double-tapping or mashing to get it to work.

It works for me with a single press to shift on an Xbox 360 wired controller, but I wish the buttons were remappable. Using triggers for throttle/brake and bumpers for shifting feels wrong as you have to take fingers off the triggers to shift, unlike the majority of racing games out there. As a result, using manual transmission is a competitive disadvantage as automatic can stay full throttle while shifting.
Same here. Using a DualShock 3(!) detected as a 360 controller.

TBH though there doesn't seem to be downshift drifting like Daytona USA so I'm not too heartbroken that I'm using Auto for now.

Hey everyone - thanks for sharing this issue, we've passed onto the team!

I turned on vsync and it solved this problem, but now I'm stuck with only 60 fps.

It's not really worth using anyway since there's no gear drifting or top speed advantage.
To reply to what Lv 17 Garchomp was saying, I tried activating VSync and it made no difference other than capping my FPS to 60 (my monitor is 144 Hz). Inputs still worked the same.

Also, hi Saturn Memories :D:
