Xbox 360 controller not copatible

Hi, so when using the 360 controller, I can navigate menus but not control the car. When I go into the control settings, when I switch to gamepad, the enter key to accept my choice doesn't do anything and it reverts back to keyboard. What's going on? have you guys released this game without testing it with the most common controller out there?

look in your windows controllers settings (devices and printers) then right click your controller and click game controller settings, what ever is in that list that is not your controller you have to disconnect.

100% fixed the error for me

Thanks for the reply, I'm not gonna disable other controllers when I set up the 360 pad as the main and only controller in steam. I found a workaround using steam in fullscreen mode and forcing gamepad support (non xbox support) in the settings.

I have the same issue. I have an Xbox Elite controller that works in the menus, but not in the main game.

What is going on here?

I hope this isn't a Unity game that uses their old input system, because that was very bad at detecting input devices (and I have one that can't be disconnected).

Although my xbox one controller works, the game constantly fights over control for the controller, giving me usb connect and disconnect sounds during the game (always at the start of a race and after) and also during a race which makes the game stutter.

If I do not use big picture, it will knock the Controller to player 2's position and put my keyboard as player 1

I do enjoy the game very much, but quite often the pad disconnects and it takes me straight to the menu. Just happened at the last lap of the last race of a Grand Prix ... infuriating !
I use a Xbox 360 + a new Xbox Series pad.

Also I use a extended desktop setup (monitor + TV), by tweaking the resolution at 1920 * 2160 in options.ini file I can enjoy splitscreen which is actually one screen by player, it's pretty neat !
