controller not working in-game!

it's recognized and it works fine on the menu, but not in-game
where's the issue?

What controller ... did you unplug the controller, pluged it back in and restarted the game.

XBox controller works without problem.

im having issues with my xbox one controller too. I restarted the game and made sure the controller connected before the game started this time but it only seems to respond in the menu.

Try going to the in-game settings, and click "reset to default". See if that works? You should be able to just set all graphics options back to your preferred settings.
Do you have any other controllers connected?

ok seems to work now for me. I changed the game to windowed and was able to move around then switched it back to fullscreen and it was still working.

It didn't recognize mine to start, either. From what I could tell, it doesn't like if you plug in a controller while the game is running. Restart the game with the controller already on/plugged-in and see if that works better.

I'm using Ps3 Controller, and yes i unplug the controller and plugged it back but no luck :'(

Are you on Windows 10? Win10 has a game controller control panel, you'll want to make sure it's recognized there first. Might be a driver issue?

yes, it's fully recognized by Win 10. i'm playing NFS without any issues

Same issue here. In fact when I start a new game and it shows Press Any Key, a press on the gamepad is detected, but after that zero, nada, kaput.

Solved it: go to Steam, right click on the game, Properties, General, Steam Input Per-Game Setting set to Forced On

This is very much not a solved issue. Tried all the suggestions here, still can't get my XBONE controller to work.
