The game has 4 keys, left, right, jump, grab.
I'd strongly recommend playing it with a controller with vibrations turned on.
That said, I watched a gameplay video of Lone Sail and there seemed to be more keys than that - zoom keys of some sort, supposedly X and A though I assume the person was playing on a controller.
Like I said - depending on the default layout I might still be able to manage. What's bound to what on the keyboard? You say 4 keys, but which four keys are they? If they're A, W, D and Ctrl, for instance, that's a non-starter right there - not convenient for my hand stance. If it's A, W, D and E, that would be doable.
Is the mouse used for anything? Is anything bound to it?
And yes, the game does turn out to have zoom keys - X and C of all things... Are those used very often? Or are they just there to help us enjoy the scenery?
I don't like PC games without rebindable controls on principle, but I think I can work with those controls. They're simple enough and bound to logical enough places for the most part. I guess that's the next best thing to customising them.
Here is they key layout:

From what I can tell, the mouse doesn't do anything.
As for controller, I was like you once, screw the console peasants rite? :D
Later I realized that as with any tool, KM+B is best suited for certain situations (like shooters), and controllers are best suited for others. In case of platformers, controllers are just superior. I wish I had my trusty logitech controller back when I played super meat boy. Would have saved me a lot of pain in my hands. You should give them a try, you are missing out in my opinion.
No, nothing of the sort. I dislike controllers because they're massively inconvenient for me. I literally can't use them comfortably, for any game. They also don't fit my PC setup, sitting at a desk with my gut pressed against it. That and decent controllers are expensive. I tried an off-brand one because I didn't feel like paying for an Xbox controller. Not only did it generally fail to be recognised properly, but it was also MASSIVELY inconvenient for pretty much everything I tried it with, before binning it permanently.
Like I said - a controller is not an option for me. Nothing I've tried it with - not platformers, not driving games, not FPS, not fighting games - nothing has worked for me in any usable capacity. You may as well ask me to use a Guitar Hero controller. If a game doesn't work with keyboard and mouse, I don't play it, it really is as simple as that.
It's downloading now. We'll see if the controls prevent me from playing it.
