Making a game that is even 5h with little to no replayability simply means that whatever sales they got in initially are probably going to be the only sales they get.
I guess with the level of effort they put into the game it is worth 15$ for 5h. But they did screw themselves over as people will only play it once, drop it and not spread word of mouth endorsements over a long period of time like games with high replayability and or modding.
Good approach. 5 hours is optimistic, by the way; I'm not THAT great at puzzle games but I finished the game blind in less than 2.5 hours (and there's a section at the end that I spent a silly amount of time beating my head on that probably padded that out by 20 minutes).
but its bad if you think of it as an actual game
i mean, its two hours yes, but two hours of that ? you press a single button entire time to move vehicle forward and thats it, there is like 5 puzzles in entire game and looks like they were designed for grade schoolers.
Its like devs copied 2016 game Final station but removed all the story parts and all actual content.
This game should cost $2 or be free.
You don't need to post about your backwards understanding of economics in every thread
100% true for me. Was a little disappointed, thought I'd at least get 5 hours out of it. My only suggestion would be to wait until it's on sale.
This isn't call of duty, overwatch or GTA.
This is Limbo. It's FTL, Brothers, Inside.
This isn't a 2£ bottle of cheap cider to get you drunk. It's a 50£ fine whiskey to savour.
Saying all you do is push a single button the entire time, or that the game should cost 2£ or be free? Go back to your 2£ cheap cider, you don't deserve a fine whiskey. you're part of the reason we don't see more of these gems.
It's a very fine whiskey indeed, but the taste soon leaves your mouth parched, wanting much more and questioning if it was worth what you paid for it. Dont get me wrong the game is beautiful, it's just really short is all.
