A Couple Of Things I Missed
A few things I missed in the game, now that I've got a couple of plays through and after a little consideration.

1.) Inspect Objects - Often I was holding the zoom-in button and squinting to try and see what the heck the low-poly blob I'd picked up was. Is that a barrel? Of fuel? Is that a teddy bear or a corpse? I felt The Long Dark did this very effectively, letting you get a little bit of explanatory text and relevant game stats about the object you were inspecting. Seen below.

Of course FAR doesn't necessarily need to provide detailed game stats. Maybe "fuel value" and in vague terms like "high, moderate, low" or something along those lines. Still, it would've been nice to be able to inspect the objects I picked up, and turn them around and possibly get a little bit of text explaining the background, and maybe a little bit of exposition about the fictional premise for the state of the game world.

2.) More Puzzles - I promise this isn't one of those "moar of everything ghralgrah" criticisms, but I was a little disappointed to see there was only ever one puzzle requiring the use of the fire hose, and none (as far as I found) requiring the use of the repair tool. Well, if you don't count the repair tool tutorial "puzzle" that requires you to fix the button to install it. But otherwise, I would've loved to see more puzzles using some of the tools and abilities of the okomotive in creative ways.

I suppose there were two fire hose puzzles if you count putting out the fires on the landcruiser, but I don't really count that one, though maybe I should. Okay, so two puzzles. Still, that puzzle with the water wheel was nicely done, and I would've liked to see more puzzles similar to that, challenging the player to creatively use the okomotive's tools in unintended ways. Maybe using the fire hose to create a sheet of ice for some purpose, or using the welder to start a fire.
