Save points issue: too few

Greetings.

I wanted to buy this game, but fortunately, I discovered the issue with save points: they are few and far between. It goes without saying that I instantly canceled my purchase. What was SE thinking when they released this game on Steam? We need a way to save the game on demand, rather than having to wait several hours. Elden Ring is an open-world game that allows us to save on demand. I know that this game is old, but as a remaster, something should have been done to address this issue. I even heard about a trainer/cheat that allows saving: has SE not heard about it?

Is there an appropriate way to save progress in this game?

Do the sequels on Steam (The Second Story and The Divine Force) have the same save issue?
