Will save files be protected?
Hey All,
So I'm planning to pick up this game on steam. It's been a while since I played it on the PS3. As I return to it, I'm planning to start a playthrough on the hardest difficulty available. I think I already played the game on the second difficulty.

If I remember correctly, the highest difficulty is only unlockable by completeing the game twice, which I won't be doing for sure, so I will be counting on speed runners to do that.

The other thing I remember, is that saves on the ps3 are profile related, meaning it was not possible to share files. So my questions is, will this be the case for the pc version?

I honestly wouldn't mind some kind of cheat that allowed me to get over this problem.

Probally not, Almost all pc games let you transfer saves, a easy way to find out is if it sets up a profile, I doubt a jrpg would do this on pc. At least I've not personally seen one that has yet, so you should be able to get someone elses save and load that to unlock that diffculty. Just taking a guess though.

It's currently possible to use Brute Force Save Data to share save files on PS3. In fact, through use of that tool importing your actualy Save File from PS3 to PC version may not be impossible. This is actually what I'm hoping for.

Dragon's Dogma was mired on my PS3 once I got a PS4. Just didn't feel like turning the PS3 on, even though I intended to complete it. Same deal with SO4. However, in the case of Dragon's Dogma, through the use of brute ofrce save data and a conversion algorithm, it was possible to import the PS3 file to the PC, and resume where I left off.

I'm hoping something similar will happen with SO4. Though, IIRC, the system/battle trophy data might not want to go onto a flash drive. That coudl be a problem. However with the recent roting of PS3 it might be possible to get that off the PS3 anyhow.
