Remove '2nd Player'?

Whenever I load the game and have my controller connected (win11, wireless Xbox Elite Series 2) the game auto forces 2 players. (There is no remove player option in-game??)

It is a nuisance having to kill one player off constantly just to play a regular game)

BUG + FIX
Menu and inputs for this game are quite broken, and have never been fixed...

For single player game mode with a single Gamepad (always detected as pl2 controller at launch!) you have to enter Control options and set: Player 2 GAMEPAD - Type: LEGACY (don't ask me why).
To change between pl1 & pl2 in the Control options menu press fire, to change type move left/right. "Legacy" mode seems for PS gamepad.

Looks like you can't co-op with mixed controller types "PL1: Keyboard" and "PL2: XBox One Gamepad" for example. Both players must use gamepad only (if you have at least one connected at launch) or keyboard only (if you disconnected the gamepads).
