64-bit are you kidding me?!
My main pc is down, so i like to play retro games on my old pc, a 32-bit machine indeed... surely my old pc could run this game with ease, but for now i have no point in buying it since it's out of my specs.

I had this game listed for a long time, and it will be a while for i get my main pc running again. Pls make sure future games will run on both 32 and 64-bits, i do enjoy these Joymasher games if my setup allows it.

Hi,

I'm pretty sure our game can run on a 32-bit windows machine.

The Game Maker Studio 2 (the engine we developed the game on) is actually 64-bit, but the games executables are 32-bit.

This is an answer from Russell (one of Game Maker developers):

any Windows games that are created are currently 32bit only (so they work on all machines out there, that run Windows Vista and up, as we use DX11 and MS never released a DX11 for XP), we do plan to allow a choice for 64bit in the future.

I know, women can do everything men can do, and boys can have periods too... all these possibilities, but perhaps asking for games to be supported by systems still in use is too much to ask for 2019.

I'm not sure if gamemaker studio 2 even allows to output a 32 bit exe nowadays considering that 32 bit is pretty much deprecated and phased out by now. You really should start looking for an upgrade, which wouldn't kill your access to your retro games anyway.
A developer of this app has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Nice! The store page needs to be changed to reflect that then because it says W7 64 bit as the minimum.

That's good news to recieve, not just for me but for many players who do not have the financial flexibility to keep up with the latest tech. Make sure this is made known on the storepage, the website is not designed to look for games based on specs, so every time i scroll down manually to check the specs and see if it is playable for me. It is a decisive factor in making a purchase or not.

I already decided to get the next Joymasher game for the full price, because i got the others on sale and do i like to support these kinda games, so i hope you will continue to support gamers with older machines as well in the future.

I was born in 1982, i'm not impressed with living in 2019 on many fronts, to throw out a random year and telling people to keep up with the times is indicitative of a severe lack of insight. There are people who live behind the times for many reasons, some of them cant even drink the water coming from their faucets because its dirty and makes people sick even after its boiled. You can go around telling them it's 2019, it doesn't change a friggin thing to the circumstances in wich they live.

You could keep arguing, but you are not helping anyone with this thinking. Not everyone can afford luxury problems, even though many can get a sex-change for thousands of goverment dollars, others still cant get their groceries without snipping coupons.

How about some perspective, wich seems to be completely abandoned in 2019. I grew up thinking the future would be better instead of being filled with sociopolitical insanity infesting itself in every facet of life. 2019 means nothing to me but aggravation.

With that said, thank you and i will, just be a little more considerate when you try to put down someone's comment with a simplistic retort that falls short of the reality people live in.

Come on dude... Latest tech? I had a 64bit OS (Or rather several) for 10 years by now.

(Also so much for getting the "Next game" full price instead of just... You know... This one that already supports 32 bit?)

I think you are wasting your time with Antonio, he is acting like a passive agressive soyboy "I could keep on arguing but you would only just hurt yourself" *honk* his argument: "man, just don't, 2019 you know?" *honk, honk*

His next argument: "pure gold, thanks"

Antonio Neto Kosovo, you are such a disgrace, it is people like you that give a good use for the block button, farewell, my eyes hurt with so much clowning around from you.

Hi,

We've updated the minimum requirements on the store page for 32-bit. Thank you all for your input on this.

Since the question was already answered, I'm going to close this thread to avoid any unecessary discussions.

Thanks!
