Does this game have online multiplayer?

The tags say local mulitplayer, local co-op, and just plain co-op... but i want to make sure before I buy it that it does support playing with a friend online.

However, I assume that the application 'Parsec' can be used as a way to allow someone to play with you over the internet.

Steam has 3 coop tags: Local coop, online coop and coop. The older "coop" nowadays means either local or online.

Yes THIS. There are games with less money and support that have some kind of online. In 2019, local coop is worthless. Screw that noise. Konami JUST did the same thing with the Contra Collection. I am so disappointed!!!!
