yes and no. rather no. you can play it alone, but it's more fun and supposed to be played with others. you need an internet connection for single player too, I guess,

You can fly a ship solo in co-op missions, and the AI will crew for you. You can command the with V input menus. You can create a private custom game to fly solo. Thanks so much!

Can you play this offline as well? I have a spotty as ♥♥♥♥ internet connection and cant play consistently online games unfortunately :/

What's the point of buying a game that needs internet connection and people to play with without actual people playing it. If it had SPC, then i'd buy it.
