It would be great if maybe something like "Q" and "E" were able to be mapped as left and right barrel rolls, respectively.
Also, why can I sometimes perform a barrel roll even when the afterburners aren't lit? Was thinking that maybe it was strictly speed dependent (barrel rolls will only occur when the a/c is within a certain speed range) but that doesn't seem to be the case either).
So like the OP says, why does this wonky k & m control scheme sometimes work and sometimes not? Are you saying it's the dead zone of my mouse????? that is preventing me from performing a barrel roll even though I am making the exact same key and mouse activations when it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't?
Or are you saying that when using the 'a' and 'd' keys for directional control and attempting to do a barrel roll that the deadzone on my keyboard keys (never heard of such a thing) is too large????
Exactly what is it that I'm not understanding here? What deadzone are you speaking of when a keyboard and mouse are being used?
Are you saying that if you are already in a bank and press a directional key or move your mouse and hit the rmb or w key to barrel roll that it won't work unless you first return your aircraft to straight and level flight?
Now, look at the cursor in-game, when you see 2 arrows around it, you can barrell roll.
The "deadzone" I was talking about is how far you have to move the cursor left/right before those arrows show up.
I'm headed out to test. Thanks for the reply. I'll remove my facepalm above for it.
