I am really enjoying the game and it reminds me so much of Neverwinter Nights. Gameplay is very similar in my opinion. It is sad to see the reviews of a lot of these younger gamers and they no longer have the patience to put effort into a game or just play it to have fun, and not for steam achievements or other such rewards.
Numen has many downsides, especially tons of bugs. Even on a modern computer it still crashes periodically and even gives me these black corrupted graphics when fighting, as others reported. But I believe it accomplishes it’s goal as an action RPG and is still quite immersive. I loved the PC’s transition from child to adult in the prologue stage of the game, have not seen that in other games. Although the game is pretty linear, the maps are large enough to always make you feel like there’s more to explore.
As far as that quest goes, I'm sorry to hear you were not able to finish it. I do not recall having such issue when playing Numen but I guess anything can happen and a bug could occur after all. The original development team is gone unfortunately which means no one can investigate this issue now.
BTW: Seeing you talking about exploration, are you aware of treasures that were hidden all over the game world in the last minute? If not, you can read more about them here.
But i cant find the body of "lost brother" :(
