Stuck on quest "Search for Life"
I need to find the essence from the Warghir but I cannot locate any, anywhere. Already have collected the Lost Giant and Harpy essence but cannot for the life of me find the Warghir one. I have checked both Plains of Renouncement and Lost Caravan areas at night and day and cannot find it. The Warghir shows Level 33 and every Warghir brute (holding a sickle weapon) that I find in Plains of Renouncement are only Level 32. Anybody knows if this is a bug?!

It has been so many years since I played Numen for the last time that I had to search for more information on this quest to get at least some idea of what it is about. Anyway, I don't think anyone ever reported a bug regarding this quest which is why all I can recommend is for you to thoroughly search the Plains of Renouncement once again hoping you will find the right Warghir this time.

Thanks for your reply. I have scoured the area many and multiple times, still nothing. Good thing it is just a side quest, I can still finish the game without completing it and maybe on the next play through I won’t run into the bug again. It might be because I advanced the main quest too far.

I am really enjoying the game and it reminds me so much of Neverwinter Nights. Gameplay is very similar in my opinion. It is sad to see the reviews of a lot of these younger gamers and they no longer have the patience to put effort into a game or just play it to have fun, and not for steam achievements or other such rewards.

Numen has many downsides, especially tons of bugs. Even on a modern computer it still crashes periodically and even gives me these black corrupted graphics when fighting, as others reported. But I believe it accomplishes it’s goal as an action RPG and is still quite immersive. I loved the PC’s transition from child to adult in the prologue stage of the game, have not seen that in other games. Although the game is pretty linear, the maps are large enough to always make you feel like there’s more to explore.

Thanks for such a mature opinion, I fully agree with you.

As far as that quest goes, I'm sorry to hear you were not able to finish it. I do not recall having such issue when playing Numen but I guess anything can happen and a bug could occur after all. The original development team is gone unfortunately which means no one can investigate this issue now.

BTW: Seeing you talking about exploration, are you aware of treasures that were hidden all over the game world in the last minute? If not, you can read more about them here.

I have found Warghir one in Plains area, just about half an hour ago.
But i cant find the body of "lost brother" :(

Oh you can find the body by going north right after spawning in the Lost Caravan area (after asking the guide to bring you). It's really hard to see the body, I walked right by it several times! So look carefully in the sand. I think there was some broken wheel or other remains of the caravan in the nearby vicinity.

Novi thank you for providing those hidden treasures. Without you to keep knowledge of them alive, they would be lost to the sands of time...

Thank you, ive found it! and finished the game last night :steamhappy:

Salut! I'm glad you enjoyed the game enough to finish it. Yes, the final boss is definitely underpowered if you play with the warrior. But I think the story and immersion of the game more than makes up for Numen's shortcomings. I actually had black boxes appearing over the monsters during every fight animation. And I finished the whole game playing like that! Don't think I would have been able to play through another game under those circumstances.
