How to unlock the dlc characters?

I beat the game, I'm wondering how to unlock Alice for example.

I have no idea. I just know Sacchi and Heathcliff are available from the start.

You unlock Alice and Eugeo by completing the main game's story mode, than 2 new side quests for 3 characters will appear in the dicey cafe.

Silica will have a quest in the cafe, which unlocks Eugeo, than Agil Will have a quest to that unlocks Oberon (This quest is required before you can unlock Alice), and then after you complete the quest agil gives, another quest that's given from a floating fairy will be near the jukebox in the dicey cafe and that one will unlock Alice.

Then to unlock graphite edge, you have to go to the fountain as Kirito and talk to the ??? until a graphite edge convo comes up.

For Graphite Edge, you should have the mail as soon as you return to town for the very first time. Go to the fountain, and he won't introduce himself, but he says some stuff, and joins your party. Fairly quick.

wait but how do i get the dlc in the first place, like the ones with the costumes and sachi/yuna, are they on steam??

yes the steam release includes all of the DLCs! :D
