Sorry to hear you are having trouble.
Steam needs to be running for it to work. If that is the case, please post a screenshot of the Steam client open and any error you are getting from our product.

"Steam client is installed and running on non-admin standard user account. When launching Fences am prompted to enter a product key.
Have attempted an uninstall in Steam, Purge_Fences.bat as admin, restart, fresh install via Steam - when it attempts to authenticate over Steam I get the error message failure to reach authentication server Code -10."
------------------------
FIXED VIA: Logged into Admin account, uninstalled Fences via Steam, Purge_Fences.bat run as admin, restart, fresh install via Steam to alternate location on NVMe M.2 eg H:\Steam instead of Program Files. This time, install seemed to take forever ending in "Failed to authenticate Fences with Steam. Please ensure that Steam is logged in with a working internet connection and try again. Result Code -203" I clicked Try Again and for whatever reason*, it worked the second time.
*I suspect this may be related to my firewall - ESET Internet security Product Vers 14.0.22.0 - I had the firewall completely disabled at install when I got Code -203. I put the firewall into "Automatic Mode" when I clicked Try Again (and it worked). Perhaps coincidence, or? At any other install attempt I always had the firewall in Automatic Mode to no avail.
At any rate, I'm up and rolling. I really wish I would've just purchased Fences normally to get a product key - the headache of going through Steam to save $2 is just not worth it. I searched my Outbox for "Stardock" to learn this is my 5th time reaching out to support with issues from Trial to purchased, Steam authentication, and more and each time it takes a couple of days to resolve with my constantly trying different installs, etc. TBH I considered simply pirating this title yesterday (yes, I'm fully paid and always support devs) just to get around the licensing hassle.
