Fences 3 trying to update
It will only let me install the update in the default location not the location it is actually installed (different drive)

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. From what I know, Fences need to be install in its default location for it to work properly.

Thank you.

I'm getting a popup for an update myself, but after so much limitation on the newer versions (majorly limited on number of computers to use it on unless you pay even MORE for the newer versions that cost much much more and don't bring enough to the table to be worth it to me.) I installed to each computer I OWN and use regularly enough. I'm refusing the update because I don't trust the devs to not break what is working for me now. Either through some sort of trying to force me to buy into a newer version (forget it unless the price is cheaper AND allows for AT LEAST 5 computers AND being able to be transferred should I stop using one and start using a newer machine.) Everything works fine for me now and I could give a rats bottom what the new versions bring. I'll keep using what I have now thanks. But honestly if push comes to shove I have no issue going on without Fences also. As will as any other software etc put out.

Nothing is in this update will 'break' what you have now nor have we ever 'forced' anyone into a newer version. We also have never, will never, stop any prior version from working as it always has.

Also, all of our products allow you to install on as many PCs as you have purchased (1 or 5). If you ever run into a PC limit (failing to uninstall on the prior PC is the most common cause), all our modern apps (Start11, Groupy, Fences, CursorFX, Multiplicity, etc) allow you to free up dead \ unused PCs on the fly right in the app.

I didn't know what the update is about and agreed to it. It dl'd and installed, but ever since I keep getting the same pop-up to update whenever I start my PC. Doesn't matter if I refuse or accept, it will keep trying to download this update. Fences 3 worked so well for all these years and now it annoys the s* out of me.
What's the best way to kill the pop-up for good?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Please try purge and reinstall steps as mention here : https://support.stardock.com/space/SHC/1332477959/Fences+purging+and+re-installing. Reboot after the purge. For Steam, please follow the steps mentioned for Steam Purchases in the link above.
