How do i download beatmaps

i did all the steps correctly but it still doesnt show up. I created a folder called McOsu in my C drive. In that folder i created two folders called songs and skins. Then i downloaded a beatmap from osu, renamed it to zip and extracted it to the songs folder. In McOsu i wrote C:\McOsu\song/ but the song won't come up. where did i do wrong

The folders should be called Songs and Skins, not songs and skins (capitalization).

That's incorrect, should be this:

C:\McOsu\

Because: It's called osu!folder, not osu!SongsFolder. It contains both Songs and Skins subfolders.

Please read through the steps carefully and do it exactly as described without omitting or changing anything on the fly.
