just make a new discussion with this idea and get some people into it . When he see a lot of people that agree with this idea he might do this :)
Then don't get restricted and don't cheat. Your second point is valid, and will probably be implemented in osu!lazer at some point in the far future (getting online pp from custom rates). The joke is that you wrote this 4 years ago, yet lazer doesn't even have score submission yet lul.
Copying osu is kinda the premise of this entire thing, but only for the purpose of practicing.
It's not so much that it would ruin the idea, but more so that any online service and social network like osu is a crapton of work to support (if done properly), in addition to it not making sense to duplicate because we already have osu, as well as splitting the community and other consequences.
This would mean implementing and maintaining:
All of you underestimate how much work this really is.
I'm just doing gamedev as a hobby in my free time after work, and McOsu only exists because I was really annoyed at missing features for practicing (plus having fun with my own game engine).
Hobbies are something you should enjoy doing, and I would not enjoy working on the list above at all (for this game). It's simply out of scope for this project.
I also have other game prototypes I enjoy working on completely unrelated to osu.
