If you open the options menu in both clients, you will find fps limiter settings including unlimited. Try comparing both clients after you have set both of them to unlimited fps.
Hey this is really good information. Is there a way to force garbage collections on the main client to smoothe gameplay once i feel it getting choppy? (my setup is pristine, there's literally zero chance its something else)
Might not even be an issue anymore in the future, with lazer being a complete framework rewrite etc.
Maybe its a bit different in gamma or something, because in normal osu i see more circles at the same time with much more brighter followpoints? Thats the reason i play McOsu btw, because it feels like i see less circles while i play hidden. I can see difference very well in my reading.
Being a practice client implies having to be accurate, otherwise it would defeat the purpose.
Not sure about per-application gamma settings, I haven't seen anything like that yet.
Followpoints are indeed handled differently, they can't be abused for easier reading here (high AR, hidden). In peppy osu the followpoints appear/finish before you can even see the circle fading in, which is stupid.
