Dont really know how, but this is what i did to fix it:

- rename movies folder to another name (like xmovies)
- disable 'share' on geforce experience (in general tab)
- set resolution in windows to 1024x768

optional:

- renamed swat2.exe tot s2.exe (used a patch, but that didnt work)

Instead of renaming the movies try replacing them with XVID versions:

It always ran. The only issue is that without proper codec support the movies don't render. You can either click to skip the movie and keep playing or wait for the movie to finish.

Right click the games executable and run it in compatibility mode for 16-bit color. You could also try using dxwrapper linked in the pcgamingwiki article about this game: https://github.com/elishacloud/dxwrapper/issues/45#issuecomment-546812440

except as far as I remember I was stuck, could click all I want but nothing happened.

dgVoodoo2 works wonders with Swat 3 so I am wondering if it would help also with Swat 2.

Windows 8/10 only can emulate early colour modes like 16-bit colour and thus creates lag.
