You called it "whatever service Nintendo has going on their system" because nintendo really doesnt have a great community for discussion of their games.
Is it their youtube where they announce new releases? Is it their eshop?
I still think steam is the best place to announce/discuss a game, whether its pertaining to pc or console versions.

Not as "collectors" items for people who really love said games, and the Switch is primarily physical unless you fancy paying official Nintendo store prices.

Check ebay for old boxed copies of well-known games. The prices are insane. Lots of demand, not enough supply.
