TROUBLESHOOTING FOR STEAM NOT LAUNCHING

We are waiting for a patch to upload as we speak, we're hoping that it fixes all of the above issues. We'll stick around and make sure we're dealing with anything else that could come in!

Edit: If you are still having issues, please try the below troubleshooting:

- Try to run steam in Administrator mode

- Make sure your Media Package is up to date or installed: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3145500/media-feature-pack-list-for-windows-n-editions

- Make sure that Visual C++ is update to date: https://support.microsoft.com/en-ca/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads

- Remove any Joysticks and XInput Flight controllers you may have plugged in
We're working on a fix for this!

- Run the game in OpenGL

- Run the game with the launch peramiter '--skip-intro'
To do this right click on wargroove in your library, go to 'properties' and select 'set launch options' and type --skip-intro into the text bar.

- Run sfc /scannow in the command prompt; this will find and replace any corrupted files that might be causing the issue

- If you are getting error message 'GL pixel Format not available' and are on Windows 7, you probably have your monitor set to use 16 bit colour depth. Here's a guide on how to change it to 32bit: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/258-color-bit-depth-display-settings.html

If anyone is still experiencing launching issues or crashes when launching please send your PC specs and any Logs (found in AppData/Roaming/Chucklefish/Wargroove) over to [e-mail] so we can deal with them as swiftly as possible.

Earlier we attempted a fix that broke the game for other players. Hopefully this will allow everyone to play without issues. Please let us know on this thread if you still have issues launching the game after this patch, or, especially, if the patch breaks your game when it worked before.

Everytime i try to run the game, is launched with -dx11 parameter option. If i accept it, then is launched as -dx11 -dx11, and so on. I can't launch the game.

What about server connection issues? I can't even touch multiplayer, it takes forever to connect and as soon as I hit search match I get an error that the server connection failed and that's when I get it to connect.

So, for everyone with this problem...

Close steam, open it again (you will need to kill every process related to steam to make it work without reset your pc), and then you will be able to play.

Unfortunately I think I will have to refund this game until it is fixed to have proper resolution support. I need to be able to set a custom resolution or at least have the game read the available resolutions from my video card settings. The current extremely limited number of resolutions means I would have to either play in fullscreen or a tiny window, and neither of those options work for me.

I can't run the game via steam. when I try o launch the exe file I get an error stating MSVCP140.dll was not found as well as VCRUNTIME140.ddl not found and that I need to uninstall and reinstall. I have done that several times and still can't get it to run

I even verified the integrity files. Anyone know how to run the game?
