Steam usually recognizes any gamepad/arcade stick and can emulate an Xbox controller on that. I use this a lot!

Steam Input can force ANY controller to be recognised in game as Xbox controller (or mouse, or keyboard, or whatever) and also allows to easily rebind those controls in each game, multiple configurations, action sets etc.
It's an absolute must for arcade and living room setups.
