Not sure how these ports to PC work exactly, but does this imply that the Source code was reused for the PC version as opposed to having some other obscure method of modifying the data? Because I wonder if this will open up new ways to access the hidden items / levels that were lost (Akaria / Sakkara).

This port in particular is based on the European/PAL (the latest) version of the original 2004 source code, we also have access to the original development toolset. The Akaria and Sakkara levels aren't lost. Let us tie up some of the loose ends in the PC port and after that we will release more info about it, but no promises yet.

A third Steam patch is coming up.

Mother of GOD. I spent so long digging through the old demo ISOs to find those levels and came up with next to nothing. Thank you SO much for this!

By the way, I think there may be an achievement problem with "Crocodile Scales". I've completed the swimming course about 3 or 4 times, and the achievement still isn't coming up. Am I missing something? Because the global achievement numbers suggest that nobody has done it.

like that,we don't have to create multiple threads for single/same problem.

We have pushed another Steam update that should fix the Crocodile Scales achievement, sorry about that. I think it was the only one that was a bit wonky.
Swyter  [developer] Nov 12, 2017 @ 8:40am
Actually, update again. I have made it so that you can also get the achievement if you beat your best time in the swimming course. Not only the first time around when you actually get the in-game item.

Otherwise it isn't fair. Nobody should make a new game just for a single achievement.
