Parabolic Mic/EVP Collectiong
How in the world do you do it ?

I can't find a single EVP File withe the Mic, even tho I've been scanning for them for the past hour in various missions. I follow the signal that it shows but there's never anything there.

Did you finish Zoe's mission to collect the evp? I haven't seen those evp casettes anywhere else and I don't think they actually drop unless you are doing that quest.Other evp signs are just regular clues with a little audio symbol attached, unless i'm wrong.

Once you have the device out, and the signal starts going up, you have to pixel hunt until the screams appear. When the screams/shouts become very loud and the gauge is almost maxed out, stand still and wait for a collection prompt to appear.

It's extremely frustrating because evp doesn't seem have a collection radius, you can literally only find it facing a certain direction with the mic out, even when you are standing on top of it. You have screams in one spot, but one inch away you get no signal at all. Whats worse is that doors and objects affect it now. I got no signal after closing a door where there is an evp on the other side.

Ngl tho, after starting a new game, the damage bonus from spirit orbs is super helpful. Hopefully they make it last across multiple groups of the same enemy.

So EVP I've started to enjoy but it certainly took a couple things to make that happen. First off the starting gadgets all sucks ass, ditch them asap. The range on the Fox Ear (with perk) is ridiculous compared to the starter one. The other honestly was me having to get over my mindset of how it used to be.

When hunting for sounds obviously you have to stand on the tendrils as some sort of ley line to the spirit world, but with the added range of the better mic its way easier to get a bearing on the spots (same with the upgraded EMF detector) once you zero in its just a matter of holding still a sec for the prompt to appear.

I'll admit I still prefer the old way of hunting for clues, but I have a feeling we'll get some sort of hybrid of the two styles eventually. Oh as a side tip if you want ez damage grab an smg and slap both of the crit chance mods on it and let loose, after 40 hours I was almost aghast how easy it was.

Yeah, I figured out that the range increase is a must with the Fox Ear.
I usually brushed aside the crit chance mods because it always seemed like a small upgrade, but not gonna lie, I'll give it a try as I'm currently using the first MP5, saving up for the AK and the full auto pistol.

Yea, even with just the Gustov I'm eating shadow beasts and jumbo spiders for breakfast. That actually sounds like a terrible meal.
