WIll using a character early in the game, remove them from the character Pool later?

If i recruit am Armed Merchant named Magellan, will he, even if he doesnt LP die, and I go to a next generation, will he eventually be recruitable again?

That's on me for not doing more research, I did find out units will loop, only way theyre removed from the pool of characters is if they were an Emperor at some point.

I recently did Final Empress only run. Killed all available generations and could still see some units. It was hard work by handpicking correct units lol. Now I have completed every challenge the game has to offer and sad that I cannot play it more.

Yes! You can actually get him again quickly by going to Mobelm when you receive the Garon quest. In the meeting room, it's revealed the current leader of the armed merchants is Henrique again. So you can reset the loop early.
