Does this game have mods?

Can't stand the hud elements, animated in battle enemy sprites and text, but this is still the only way to play the game in english. Im grateful this isn't as bad as the ff5 and 6 ports but from the looks of things the original sfc versions of rs2 and 3 seem to be the better options. Im currently learning japanese, but its going to be a long while before ill be able to understand anything, and there seems to be no script port or fan translation on the horizon for the originals. Is there anything that makes this version of the game better in any way? Thanks.

RS3 has a really crappy fan translation that's fully done if you want to go that way. IMO the remasters are not bad at all though, plus they have new content like new character classes and a new dungeon set. I like the animated battle sprites, even if they're a little cheesy. I've already played the SFC versions so it's kinda cool to see the little variations like that.

I noticed that there are a few people working on mods, but there is no actual modding community for Romancing SaGa 2 yet. I have an active discord server where we are modding quite a few games including FFVI, FFV, Chrono Trigger, etc. I just created a section for Romancing SaGa 3 and 2, hoping that we can bring more people together in order to make this the definitive version of the game. I'd love if you you could join :D
