Can you run out of heroes?

The only SaGa game I've played thus far was SaGa Frontier for PSX way back in the day, and I rememeber it being relatively easy to restore missing LP. In this game, however, at least in the early parts, I'm not finding a way to restore LP. I just lost Theresse's last LP (that chick be squishy AF) and so I replaced her with some other Ranger from my castle.

My question is, if heroes keep dying, can you "run out" of them? Or are they replaced with like randomly generated other dudes?

The Empire has a very deep recruitment pool. You'll be fine.

Nope, there's a limited list of names but it loops back to the start once you exhaust them all.

Thank you to the both of you. I have a follow-up. Do newly recruited heroes inherit some kind of bonus based on the level of your current main character? I'm just wondering because I'm worried if, for example, my frontline tank character dies, I don't want to replace him with a tank that has like 40 HPs.

There's a hidden stat in this game called Global Level that affects starting stats of new recruits, so later characters don't start at early game strength.
