Why did envy have powers of War, Death and Strife?

They never explained this. Did she envy the powers of horsemen? Was it that the original plot involve envy consuming powers of other horsemen and gunfire games changed it in the end but never bothered to make new attack animations?

The only thing that might make sense to me is that it's because she knew Fury envied her siblings, so she could take that form? Like how Wrath mentions that Fury's rage only makes him stronger, maybe she could use Fury's envy to give herself those powers.

It's a bit of a weak theory, but I got nothing else.

The first time the sins were sealed were when all the horseman fought them. After envy got the talisman i guess she used that energy to manifest it into a stronger form, using the ones who beat them all and recently one who single handedly beat them as inspiration. Also the Horsemen are among the most powerful combatants in the Darksiders universe. Top tier.
