Game gets stuck on startup

So I wanted to come back since I never played the DLC.

Redownloaded it, started it up and I tried to mash esc to get passed all the screens and get to the menu. The game immediatly becomes unresponsive. And after a few seconds of doing this the music also stops.

When i don't hit any keys, I get to the screen that says "press any button" but as soon as i press a button it does the same thing as said above.

What's up? I have the latest NVIDIA driver as of this post.

Windows 10, latest Update.
MSI RTX 2070 twin frozer (or something like that)
Ryzen R9 5900X
32GB of G.Skill trident Z neo CL 16 3600MT/s RAM
Asus ROG STRIIX X570-E Gaming
Running of a HDD

Don't think my specs have anything to do with it do.

EDIT:
So when I open the shipping and the normal exe file in the install directory the game doesn't freeze, but it does say i'm missing the crucible DLC on loading of the main menu.

So this is a steam integration error?

So I haved the problem too. I just needed to use the repair setting from steam who scan your game to find a broken data to fix it

Oh, I've tried this as well but it didn't work :( but I'll try again

Im in the same boat, game takes forever to load. real shame as i enjoyed the others.

Try going into the install folder and launching the game by double clicking the exe of the game. That should work. I feel like its a problem with starting the game via steam. If you really want to play it, especially if you never played it, it is a fun game, despite what people may say.
