Game won't play from the title screen
I just got Darksiders 3 not too long ago, and tried playing it for the first time today. For some reason, I've noticed that as soon as I try to press any button on my controller, click my mouse button, or anything on my keyboard, the game freezes and I have to exit using Task Manager. At first I thought it was my Xbox One controller, but this is the only game where I'm having this issue. Since it's a brand new game for me, I don't have any files I can look at/change at the moment. Has anyone else had this issue/found a fix for it?

yes, i had this too.

Turns out, it doesnt crash, it just takes like 5 mins to load the main menu.

Leave the game open in its "crashed" state, and after a while itll clear up and work.
After i updated my graphic drivers the game loaded faster, but it is SERIOUSLY bad.

The good thing is that the game itself is pretty good, so if u get past the horrifyingly slow load times of the game, u can play it.

You don't by any chance have a Nvidia GPU? Maybe an RTX series card? I'm also experiencing these freezes where the process locks up for minutes at a time, at the title screen, but also when transitioning between areas like when using the worm holes.

A couple times that it's frozen I've taken a memory dump and opened it in a debugger and it seems to show that it's locked up inside of some AMD GPU debugging library. I've got an AMD CPU and I think the game is buggy and because it detects the CPU as a AMD device it's trying to use an AMD graphics library which just locks up on a Nvidia GPU. If both of you also have a AMD CPU and a Nvidia GPU that would go a long way towards confirming that as the source of the freezes.

Glad to see im not the only one, i start the game and I cant even get passed the title screen now where it says "press any key to continue" I do that and it just sits there "frozen" so I will try waiting. This is a brand new PC with all up to date stuff, 10900k and a 3090 with latest drivers. :/

So I tried this out and just waited for screens to load, and it would finally load after a couple minutes. I found that the very first time it loads it takes the longest, but afterwards it wasn't too bad. I did notice that whenever I went into a new area for the first time in a playthrough, it would take a little while to load up, but then I was good to go (maybe happened 5-6 times per playthrough). Other than that, game runs smoothly!
