I think it depends if you are an arcane or strength build

For me, and I am still figuring my way around

For primary weapon, if I were arcane I would go Shade, if I were Strength I would go Juggernaut.

The ones below I use for secondary weapons

Azrael if you are into Wrath generation
Oscuris if you are into Havoc generation

Yeah, demonic path gives Wrath Gen per hit. Angelic gives wrath per minute.

I was happy there was vampiric ench and i stayed with it whole game after i found it. In other weapons reducing magic damage and dodge time will be good thing.

I find these three to be the best ones:
Shade, Juggernaut, Obscurus. First two give both damage for the used weapon and damage reduction as passives, last one - great passive, the active is pretty useless.

Other useful enhancements:

Chaos - lifesteal has been very helpful during the first part of the game. But once I got 4 heals and upgraded the heal amount I felt like I no longer needed it. Depends on how good you are at dodging stuff.
Azazel - lets you utilize the Wrath attack more often.
Fortifier - boosts both damage types (less than individual boosts from Shade/Juggernaut) and gives some HP, you might prefer it to Shade or Juggernaut for your main weapon damage boost, but you still want Shade and Juggernaut's passives in other slots.

Borderline useful:

Fafnir - reflecting melee damage can be useful against weaker enemies like fish and flies - if you fail to dodge they will oneshot themselves. Only really useful if you have a spare slot and nothing else to put in it.
Leviathan - if you don't use Chaos in your main weapon and have a spare slot this one could be useful when you have too little health missing to use Nephilim's Respite and you might restore some while exploring. But also not all that useful an enhancement if you're going from one fight to another without much time inbetween.

Special:

Enoch - awesome damage boost but would require you to stay at very low health. Can be very useful to speed up fights, but you have to be on spot with your dodges. With an arcane build this could make counters and Wrath attacks devastating. If the devs ever going to add NG+ this is going to be THE enhancement for speedruns. You could probably kill some bosses within a matter of seconds.

Put Shade on whatever weapon has your favorite Wrath attack
Put Chaos or Fafnir on your Whip
Put Juggernaut on whatever
Put Oscuris on Salvation
Put whatever one you max out on whatever you want
