30fps in game cinematics ?
Hey,
is there a way to tweak the game and make the cinematics run at 60fps ?
It's not a big deal but it'd be nice. thanks

don't think so. probably a console thing. Transition between 30fps and 60fps cutscene so not smooth and jarring.

i'm guessing we have to change or add something in the appdata folder, if this is to be done, but i'm not knowledgeable enough with UE

Not really. it's rendered in game, change your armour and you will see it will change during all cinematics. Also the particles effects seems to run at 60 fps which is weird.
But i've read that everything was animated frame by frame, so i'm beginning to think i'll just have to suck it up because it would mess up the game if we could make it run at 60.

It's not pre rendered. All the cutscenes are running in realtime in engine.
The fps is just capped at 30 during cutscenes for a reason or another.

It would be nice to hear the official reason for why they are locked at 30 fps.

If its not pre rendered its just weird that they cap it. No point in capping something running in engine when the rest of the game isnt.

Yeah right ? The rest of the whole game is running perfectly on 60 fps so I don't see how that'd be a problem.
I'd like some official answer so that I can either continue to play or, if they fix it in a week or two I can wait.

Does anyone think we can reasonably expect the next patch to fix this ? Have the devs gave any info about it ?
