Keep in mind that Death canonically has a pseudo-invulnerability to weapons, so his lack of armor makes sense for his character. Fury, on the other hand, is canonically the weakest Horsemen and probably the most vulnerable to direct attacks. The current design still allows her to have a certain sex appeal (it's absolutely not truly practical as armor) but it covers her enough to be considered proper armor.
That "excuse" was given by Joe Madd. That's why it keeps getting brought up. It's not just some random opinion, but from the artist himself.
Either way, at this point both sides of the equation will never see eye to eye. Some are fine with the change, others aren't. Personally, I'm fine with it. She's still sexy, just not a ♥♥♥♥♥ stripper anymore. But I can understand why people aren't happy with it. That said, those condemning the whole game over this change make me roll my eyes, but other than those extremists, I do understand the annoyance.
Unless someone is going to break open the game's files don't expect it to happen. Also keep in mind that the previous Darksiders games were much more popular than this game & I don't think anyone made mods for them.
The types of games that get mods usually end up being the same types of games, ie Bethesda RPGs, The Sims, GTA, fighting games, etc. Those games also tend have big communities which in turn makes modding easier, especially if/when a series has had mods across multiple installments. For example every GTA game released on PC from GTA3 onwards has had mods. Every numbered Sims game has always had a ton of mods, and so on.
Nude modes aren't un-normal. People make them all the time still for games. The thing is that there are way more games out or coming out than there were when something like the original Tomb Raider came out, not to mention it's generally popular games that modded (Skyrim, etc) and this specific game doesn't seem all that popular at the moment.
I don't even know if anyone ever made mods for the first two games.
Make all the enemies zombies not attack and go behind her to comtemplate the beauty :D
I'll say this one final thing then unsub from this thread (No I'm not saying anything negative or combative so no worries.)
With how so many people are harping about her outfit, I wouldn't be surprised if we do see a more "revealing" version in one of the upcoming DLCs. Maybe even her original outfit. I think that would make a number of the playerbase happy. Personally I'm fine with and even like her current outfit, but I can understand the desire to have her at least look like her original self. We'll just have to see!
draw yourself a picture ... if you havent noticed fury has a personality where it doesnt take too much to get under her skin. she needs as much covered as she can get or sher might get pissed at the choices you make .... it wouldnt be that far fetched to have her respawn , turn and look at me , flip me the bird and ask me if im stupid enough to do it a 3rd time....
Yeah, because how could anyone make the leap from "More Sexy Fury" or "More Revealing Fury" to nude mod. I mean it's not like a female character being nude can be considered revealing or sexy. Oh wait...
Bayonetta
Samus
Catwoman
Black Widow
Rogue (X-Men)
All characters that nobody considers sexy because due to them wearing full body suits right?
Makes total sense what with her not being human & a Horseman. You might say "non humans can sweat" but I bet you've never thought about Death sweating or that he could sweat. Why is that I wonder?
