16 GB of RAM Really Necessary?
Hi, I looked at the Recommended Specs for Darksiders 3 and was surprised to find that it recommended 16 GB of RAM. When I see 'Recommended Requirements', I imagine it as being the minimum to play the game at 1080p 60fps at Medium-High settings. My Computer currently only has 12 GB of RAM installed, so I am hesitant to consider purchasing this game, as I do want at least console-quality visuals running at 60 fps.

Is that REALLY the recommended amount, or was that just a bad estimation, or are recommended requirements to run the game at max settings? I rarely see games require 16 GB of RAM for 1080p 60 FPS. My computer meets all the other demands and exceeds the GPU requirements (GTX 1070).

More you play, more ram it eating. But no more then 6 gigs. So, 12 gb will be enough for game and some other thing in tray.

Thanks. It's weird that they'd mention 16 GB RAM in the recommended specs though if it only eats 6 GB as you play. Why do you think that might be? Just a mistake?

On 4k it eats more ram thats why they reckon 16 gb i think.

Just to be sure it's enough. You may have other programs active like browser, aimp etc.
