That would be a joke normally but seeing as they turned Darksiders 3 into a linear barebones Darkspirits game this is totally a possibility.....
Go "praise you precious sun" somewhere else Poser.
"We have 200 IQ idiot" go back to watching speedruns and let the adults talk.
That's why I said Sead Space combined with DMC XD
I don't know.
I think the budget won't be amazing so I thought the world/ambushing and atmosphere from Dead Space with the gunplay from DMC.
Not exact copies but certainly material for for inspiration I guess.
I don't think the franchise would do well under an Xcom clone XD
This Dark Souls-like gameplay is pretty fun.
Not exactly what I was looking for in a Darksiders game and in need of some serious tweaking.
Still better as no Darsiders continuation at all.
How would you implement a gunbased character like Strife into a Darksiders game?
That's the problem if they wanted to make a Tryhard Souls Darksiders Spin off Putting the 3 in the title was the worst possible choice along with throwing all Darksiders gameplay elements out the window....
I think the biggest limitation will be the justification of a lock-on system. All three Darksiders games have one, but for Strife it'd be weird. If you have auto-lock-on with his guns, that'll be obnoxious and too easy. If you let us toggle lock-on, than without locking on we'd need a targeting reticle in the center of our screens all the time, and you'd get into discussions about mouse sensitivity and how we'd need to be in Fury's "Salvation throwing mode" all the time.
People are complaining about DS3 being a departure from combat mechanics, but if DS4 features Strife in an over-the-shoulder 3rd-person-shooter game, or worse, an FPS game, there would be much wailing and gnashing of teeth. I know I wouldn't like that game much.
Dark Souls has very good area and enemy placement.
Good attack indicators ( you can literally hear which enemy does what offscreen. But here it's surprise you're dead again XD
Also here the walls block so much or very small areas having 2 OP-enemies giving you only one approach which is perfect dodges and hoping you don't get destroyed out of your boots when the perfect dodge lands.
Surge, Nioh and Lords of the Fallen at least had good enemy placements.
I don't intend to bash Darksiders. But these are issues that prevent a lot of people from having a good time. Not only because they are less equipped to tackle this type of game.
But because a lot of mechanisms in the gameplay and design work against them in everyway.
SoulsBorne is a piece of cake compared to this or The Surge XD
When did I say it didn't?
You are just assuming alot and making yourself look like a fool...
But i don't care to talk about those "games" and never expected these convos to happen on a Darksiders board.....
RIP Darksiders
You made it sound like it didn't, but if you do realise it has problems and don't blindy praise it while forming your own opinion you already better than 90% of the Darkspirits "fanbase"
You are the one assuming alot and being a hypocrite.
"Git Good" at posting.
They would do well to give him some timemanipulation/bullettime, frost or force waves?, thousand cuts-like target and hit everything in sight skill. They can make him into a lo of good things where autotarget won't have to be overpowered. He will probs also get some more op upgrades to the gun-play but it can easily be balanced into a fun game.
As long as they don't make it into an fps or twinstick-shooter >.<
I'm not assuming anything, alot of people have actually said it is too hard. So I don't know how it's an assumption when it's based on reality... Some even call it a dark souls clone.
The game does have issues, like every game does.
They can also make games fun, not have artificial difficulties only and also can just avoid these games alltogether like i have been until they ruined one of my favorite new gen series i actually had some hope for with this crap.....
What if they turned your precious Darkspirits into Battle Royal?
Don't act like you would be fine with it cause you wouldn't... thats what they did to us..
Again not saying you can't enjoy it just don't justify this BS to us when we play these types of games to get away from the popular generic crap.
Since traditional God of War and Zelda games are dead and Darksiders did it better than both of them put together last AND current gen.
