Is Abraxis found along the way to finding the 7 sins?

i played till the lord of hollows request fury to kill Abraxis, where can i find Abraxis?

Abraxis is found in the Scar area. After you pass the giant central area with the cranes, if we can call them that. There is an area guarded by this giant demon from Darksiders 1 and an air current that you can use to lift you upwards using the storm hollow.

Jus wondering is Abraxis optional quest?

It's in scar. I just killed him , but I fear I may have messed up my game now as the hollow thing hasn't asked me to kill him yet

Yes, he's optional. You won't be finding him until late into the game, in the Scar, as mentioned before.

Go back to the Hollow lord. Though I'd suggest sparing him, as you get an achievement and changes the ending.
