Third Sword Puzzle Bug or Did I Miss Something?

So I'm trying to do the third sword puzzle with the pressure plate on the ground and the bomb bugs. I have the bomb bug charged up ready to explode, I light up the webs to the left side of the room and run onto the pressure plate. When the web on left side is detroyed the sparks that come off instantly kill the bomb bug WITHOUT setting alight to the second set of webs - however, on every guide I watched for the puzzle, the bomb bug should explode causing sparks to alight the second set of webs. That's simply not happening my end, no matter where the bomb bug is around the goo pile before setting alight to any webs. Did I miss something?

Knock plant on top, bug eats goop, light wall on left, stand on middle plate, bug explodes, lights right wall. If that isn't doing it, all I can say is reboot your game or something cause that's the only way to do this.

I have the same problem as Kunnin ---- bug gets blown off of the goop and does not light the second web. I can't progress any further. Also tried a reload of the game. Devs !!!! Any suggestions ??

During my recent playtime my game hit a gamebreaking bug where a block won't come down that I need to progress. So on a new playthrough I remembered this thread and decided to clip the "solution" for you. If it's not working this way, your game is bugged and I don't know what to tell you. They are supposedly bug fix patching some things today, so hopeful they can fix both our issues.

OK. So i found out that if you are over leveled(doing stupid amounts of damage) or using a trainer or 1 hit kill cheat, it will bug out the game. So, if you grinded levels and put everything on damage that may be your problem. Or like me im trying to just do the story and im using a trainer for 1 hit kills, that also insta kills the bug apparently even though its the wed that hits him.
