Darksiders III

Wait you can't ride a horse???
yeah I can understand that it was a budget decision or something..

But they got a big backlash for not giving Ruin in Darksiders 1 right away.. and when they did it was very constricted.. (really only two areas Ruin was able to move around in.)

Darksiders 2 got a lot of stuff right.. I was kinda disappointed that it wasn't as Zelda'y but I still loved the game.

But in Darksider's 3 there is no horse mechanic. you don't ride rampage. and you don't even get a new horse...
while the Hollow forms are cool. and they made it quite fun...

But how can a Horsemen be a Horsemen without a Horse???

It just boggles my mind that they would do that. I would of rather they kept the graphics, meshes, and textures and such slightly dumb down. so they could build more of the world.

well it just kinda sucks. I was really looking forward to it. and well I'm just sad that it came out this way...

if it was intentional. like "yeah we SHOULD do it this way." then they got the backlash coming.

But if it was cause they were short on cash. taking the safe route in designing. or they just wanted the story to be this way I can understand.... sort of.

well what you guys think?
Horse or no Horse?

I have read on some forums that the horse appears for five minutes and thats it, quite disappointing really.

0/10 A horseman is not a horseman if they don't have a horse.

only DS2 was the horse used alot. DS1 I think you had it for one level and a boss fight, I maybe wrong tho.

Yea this franchise is dead op, honestly i had high hopes for this game but seeing the final product tells me this games company is on its death bed..

I suppose its lucky we got a game at all, but such a game might have been better never existing imo..

I used Ruin a lot, for me it was a great part of Darksiders, that still my favorite in the series, could not get into the 2nd.

you unlocked the horse in D1 for the boss and was able to use him for half of the map in D1. in D2 you had your horse from get go. but NO HORSE AT ALL IN D3?! what crap is that?!

Honestly, as long as it doesn't mean wandering wide open fields on foot, or otherwise slowing the gameplay, I don't care. DS2's wide open world was just a shallow excuse to incorporate horseriding, and the tradeoff of it taking longer to get everywhere wasn't of particular benefit.

Shoving a horse in the game just for the sake of having a horse in the game would just be stupid. If I ever find myself asking, "Why am I walking here when I could be riding?" then we'll talk.
