Are you trying to say that Darksiders 2's skill tree or gear system was complex ? Lol.
LOL! No, you are?
just started playing and from what I have seen I can see why they didn't put it in. Combat is basically lead targets to one place, stand there, dodge their attacks and then wipe them out with your attack.
or even simplier... bait them, dodge them, wipe them.
That's just with the whip though... I haven't gotten very far yet. Hell, even the first boss is just a tutorial explaining via showing that this is less button masher from D2.
in D2 & D1, you could get alway to the end mindlessly button mashing. Then you come across a boss where mindlessly button mashing doesn't work and you got to actually learn the move sets and dodging etc. (I know this because that what I did. That was a bit annoying.)
I'n not even upgrading my health since it seems dodging is fairly easy and all you really need is some boosts to your attack or arcane strength
Smaller endeavors, less enemies, closer to Dark Souls and its mechanics.
Just the loot system, the Skill Tree and the metrovania style make me more entertaining than Darksiders I.
