Quit Crying About the New design for Fury.
1. Full body armor makes sense when you're fighting an onslaught of demons, angels, undead, etc.
2. Lots of people don't feel comfortable with having a mostly-naked person on their screen while they play a game, especially when they have kids, a wife, or other family around.
3. Sadly, snowflakes are consumers, too. Gotta tend to 'em if you want to maximize your profits.
4. Early designs usually always change. Just because Fury was supposed to be dressed like a skimpy whip maiden originally doesn't mean it was a cemented design.

Hell ♥♥♥♥♥, I've NEVER thought a female in general was a good idea to have as a Horseman, they're the 4 HorseMEN. I ain't ♥♥♥♥♥in' tho.

grabbing hard for those excuses aint we ;)

1. actually you can assume armour/weapons have no actual impact on effectiveness when talking very powerfull magical creatures (it is reasonable to assume their weaponry is innate and doesnt require anything other than their will, as such their skin could be as hard as the hardest armour, and weapons nothing more than a projection of a thin line which could cut through anything etc).
when we are talking magical creatures (especially mage types) you can't apply basic middleage rules to their gear.

2. emmm more people want to look at a beautifull half naked model.. there is a reason it sells so well. considering the demographic of these games one should believe it would be perfect for that.
also; people's personal issues with naked bodies should never hamper game design in any way, as it is an idiotic trend.

3: emmm snowflakes? i always find it funny that the people throwing around that term are almost always the people acting like the "special little snowflakes", not the other way around. just saying.

4: not sure what you are trying to argue here mate. my concern would be more on the "its a mage, which uses a whip more than magic" part. which i personally find annoying, seriously can't be that hard to make some awesome looking magic attack/defend effects.
as for skimpy outfits, if you can make the character model extremely good looking it is generally a far more popular outfit type; if not then they should just focus on armouring the model enough to look cool (armour is easier to make than human forms).

now quit crying about people crying ;)

edit: also horseman is referring to the "title", not the genda...... like human isn't only referring to Man... should be obvious i would have thought

You both are idiots with too much time to argue about meaningless ♥♥♥♥.

1. If we are going for a sort of mortal realism, which we aren't (Look at shirtless Death), women wouldn't be on the battlefield in medieval warfare. Very rare in real world history

2. I do, and I am sure so does the bulk of the target audience

3. They could just make a Snowflake option to cater to the minority if they think it's significant enough to positively impact profits.

4. Early designs can change, sure. It's whether or not it has a positive and negative response to the target market. I love the DS IP, and was sad when it seemed like it would be discontinued. I'd hate to see it perform poorly in the market because it was catering to what I am guessing is the vast minority. I want them to suceed and continue to create games I enjoy playing, and expanding upon their IP.

I wouldn't take the fact that she is a woman in the context of "Horsemen" too seriously. Horseperson just doesn't have a good ring to it.

@ the guy calling the other 2 idiots, for discussing this.. no one said you had to participate in the conversation. I am sure there are a lot of things in the world you can focus your attention on if this conversation is beneath you.

I prefer not to see sexual stuff in a game about killing demons and stuff. Save the nudes for hentai and visual novels

I'm not gonna read this essay, but for what I did read:

3. Bad bait.
4. If you didn't understand, why even try to reply to it? You didn't even touch the surface of my arguement.

Your edit: The 4 horsemen of the apocalypse are SUPPOSED to be depicted as males. That's simply how it's supposed to be. End of story.

The horsemen of the apocalypse are depicted as males. That's what I was mostly aiming towards. My horse"man" arguement was stupid.
Also, "shirtless Death" has a purpose. He starts with almost no armor. You eventually get to a point where you cover everything but where he was hit with the soul container's shards, which isn't covered because it plays a huge part in the story. Showing cleavage and asscheeks isn't story, and it just makes me mildly uncomfortable to have on my screen considering people live with me. :P

3. True, and that would make sense. Rust did it.

Also from actuall appeal i think that new design is better not becouse all this femenist SJW crap. It is just better. It is more appealing, give her more character. I mean lets compare 2 designs and basicaly try to describe fury only by her armor.
New armor: We have good defence that clearly indicate that this is a warrior.
Armor is butyfull and well design wit a lot of little details. Also her armor highlights her figure that indicate that for fury her look is kinda important she wants to look appealing even a bit sexy, but still want to be efficent.
But we see that this armor dosent cover her entire body and have a lot of clear space, that inidcates that she dont count om pure defense, and use more agressive combat style, or just reckless.
Her arms not covered in armor indicates that she dont like when something restrict her arm movement-So we can think that her weapon requires a lot of precice movement with whole arm(and whip is just like that)
While yeah you can say some of this things about her old design, but basically if she hide her weapons you could think that she is a stripper.
Also i think this new design is just more beautiful, even more sexy. I mean before it was just some randomly placed pices of clothing.

I just realized Fury's new design is actually sexist. Why, you ask?
Death is buff, War is handsome and Fury is the only ugly one...just bc she is female she isn't entitled to be atractive? Another example of male privilege!

Well, in this day and age, Fury might be trans
It's obvious that the community seems to be split into two groups, those who love Fury's new design and those who hate it.

The argument could literally go on forever with every jab possible pointing the other side but the design is still good regardless and the game will sell well regardless.

However, if you guys think covering her is somehow going to put a dent in the sales, then you've learned nothing about what people want in the industry and what actually drives sales. The succession of a franchise will never depend on character design change, end if story.

My complaint with Fury's design is that it was always the weakest, so she fails to interest me in the game. She didn't look very unique in the comics, she doesn't now. Although I would've prefered the ashen white skin.

Her armor is very generic, it being mostly black and silver isn't eye-catching. Deisgn wise the most prominent thing about it are still the boob-plate and heels, which.... it just gives me the worst feeling in combination with her strong face.
DESTARD Nov 8, 2018 @ 1:58am
Was there a change in the armor over the past 6 months?
I thought it looked decent?
