Either way, this gives me hope that one day a Thea 4X game might be a thing.
At least you get a kid immediately the following turn but still, seems strange to have a high chance of the date immediately dying the next turn.
Edit: Take in the strongest possible character you can, if you do a berserker start, it's not that difficult but a lot of other starts you probably wont be able to win the encounter in the early game.
As they said in the patch notes, it wasn't intended to be won everytime and instead was meant to give you a child the following turn. https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/606230/view/3714951661259406872
After this point it's just have to relying on luck to keep them alive either way even with a healer, that just increases the luck of them surviving.
You can split off your strongest party member to do the event which helps.
It just seems like a strange event to give you a character that'll likely die the following turn due to not being able to beat the challenge at the stage of the game the event comes up which is generally when you need the extra party members the most.
Anyway at least you get a kid out of it so that's something.
Some of the options seem really strong if they could actually beat the event.
I'll have to play around with this event some more to see if there's some other way to deal with it, maybe the best bet is just leaving it and coming back like 50 turns later with the strongest party member.
Haven't done an undead one yet, just tried the female 1st and 3rd options so far.
Maybe the "other" option is easier than those or barbarian is much stronger than a warrior for the event challenge.
I don't know how much randomness there is to it. I'm pretty sure I picked the 3rd option. I liked #2's answers better (from a personal standpoint, that's who I would date), but #3 sounded like he might be undead and I was right. XD
Barbarians have pretty high base stats and good skills.
Next time I'll pick a different god and I reckon the number 3 option will be themed for that god instead
There were quite a few good options all in all, I am glad we got the event :)
I went with Triglav and got an undead.
Lotsa cool additions in this DLC!
I was training my chosen to be a witch but she never got mysticism and got a ton of destiny and I think I even took strength one level. So when barb showed up as an option I was like, why not?
Yes I love the new additions. :D
