The only things we know about another Thea game at this point are that the Devs are looking to come back to their Thea universe at some point and have more ideas for it.
I will spill a little more beans and say the game will remain set in what we may call the Thea universe 😉 however, it will not be a direct continuation of Thea games... make of that what you will...
I could live with a game similar to Pillars of Eternity/Baldurs Gate style in Thea universe, but I would gladly prefer a Thea 3 with a bit more direction to Civilization ,-),
Something leaning more heavily into the RPG angle could be interesting if it keeps the eclectic nature of the groups you end up with in the previous Thea games. Another RPG with a party of "human this, elf that, dwarf the other" has been beaten to death and beyond; one consisting of (to pull some random things from my last Thea game) a wind elemental, a goblin shaman, a demonic pumpkin, a crazed scavenger with a pet rat, a werewolf, and a giant snake that happens to be friendly for some reason... okay, it doesn't have to be quite that oddball but you get the idea, and the setting actually works for something like that.
Obviously can't speak for everyone, but my problem with the MoM remake is less of it being a 4X game, and missing what I consider to be Muha game's biggest strength. Their randomised, but carefully written narrative events. I think a 4X game set in Thea's world with the same possibility for randomised personal, and quest event like both Thea games could be an interesting direction to take 4X games.
Regardless, I'm interested in whatever next project Muha game does so long as they have the creative control of the final product.
There are already a lot of such games that delve into these mythological backgrounds.
It would of course boost sales for MuHa, but i would say Thea lose what it is.
Perhaps a greek mythology would be more appropriate. (Not roman pure greek.)
It's a modern fantasy game, think Thea x Cyberpunk in the Thea universe (so we jumped a millenium or two).
Sounds cool, but fantasy is more my thing :)
