I honestly feel something like BuildingOverhaul's mobile base should be in the base game.
So who knows what will happen :)
Well the whole mod is made with higher difficulty settings in mind where villages become glorified item storages. So yes, it does make the whole village aspect easier to use. It's also caps out around my expected powerlevel for upcoming higher difficulty content lategame, so especially the end/post game stuff is relatively strong compared to current endgame stuff (you would usually just have beaten the game when reaching this point though).
You also don't have to use the mobile aspect. This and the regular village building are completely separate, which is why I added the alternative to the seed there.
Plus BuildingOverhaul doesn't just hand everything to the player. You need to use a Cosmic Seed to even start, you also need to research all the mobile camp (I'm just going to call it that instead of Moving Mountain since it's effectively what it is) upgrade and actually find resources to build them.
Admittedly, summoning a moving mountain sized troll as the foundation for a base is a bit silly, but I don't think it's too jarring compared to what's already in the 2 canon Thea games where you have world destroying giants sleeping underneath the earth. Although when I say I wished canon has some aspect of mobile base construction... an actual moving mountain rock troll wasn't what I had in mind.
I was thinking alone the line of some kind of equipment, like gatherer's tool and cloth from BuildingOverhaul mod, or some kind of better tents & bedrolls the player can research and craft to give slightly weaker party wide bonus than village buildings when camping.
It was a ship before that you had to move but that brought a silly amount of issues with it and was way too clunky.
I was exploring the tool aspect too but it turned out to be a nightmare for inventory management, locked down slots and had some serious difficulties in scripting. It was also not useful considering the amount of possible buildings.
It is something I'd consider for some smaller effects though. Maybe some smaller crafting station that unlocks these exploration type tools.
I'm still looking into possible improvements, like a trait card that starts you with some construction materials, visual/thematical changes etc. so any kind of feedback is welcome.
i have no intention of heavily modding the gameplay so you guys are going off topic
besides i think this discussion thread is done and answered
