You are somewhat correct. The smaller your group compared to your STARTING group, the more children you will see. It doesn't matter if you start the game with 1 character or 100 characters, the only relevant factors are turn number and how many more/less characters you have.
Also I'm pretty sure that the achievement is only for two human kids...
Unshaken
Finish the main quest playing on hard difficulty.
Kindergarten
Start with two human children only and survive 100 turns.
Unshaken is just finishing the game on hard.
Aaah good to know. Wish there had been something in game to tell me this (or did I miss it), before I tried it 5 times lol.
Now that we are clear on what "Unshaken" is, any pro tips for achieving it?
Exactly. Any pro tips for achieving it?
I'm not sure if I'm just feeling overly pessimistic from the 5 dwarf/human fails or if I am doing something wrong (I've had no problems playing on Normal). I current game is going relatively well (got a party of 7 now, 1 orc crafter, 1 bandit leader, 2 bandits, 1 zerca, 1 healer, 1 warrior); but I'm not sure when to push forward.
Thanks both of you. =)
Not much I can offer I'm afraid.
What is the really hard way? All my settings are maxed out.
Do you happen to remember roughly how many turns your game lasted?
I wondering if part of the reason I'm struggling is that I'm rushing to soon.
There's nothing wrong with taking your time.
The only things I really recall was even though I had a village I took everyone into one party to face the boss and everyone had full T3 equipment. The final fight was a cakewalk.
Thanks for that. I'll try to shoot for T3 gear before taking on the boss.
Currently I have a couple of pieces of elemental armor, one elemental weapon, and 1 legendary weapon; but it sounds like I need a bit more.
One more question if I may... do you remember how many people were in your party?
I'm trying to decide if I should send a group of 7 who are all high level or to send a larger group with mixed levels. Seems like the mixed group could be risky.
I took my time, got to T3, and it was an easy fight like you said.
Thanks again for those tips XenoReaver. =)
A good choice is the Harmony card that gives your chosen a healing skill (lowers chance of death)
