Elven Druids and how do i get them?
Yes, i know you can start with one, but i like growing my units up from children...only problem is i cant get that to happen. I have save scummed an elf child to get mysticism stat up 3 points on lvl up, Plus 1 from wild senses, plus 2 from cat, and it still didnt show up as an option even once out of 20 times. What am i missing

Modded event of child growing up - normally Lada gives you chanse for light-sick befuddler. Which does not make sense if child is a girl - befuddlers are by default MALE ofspring of rusalka. So i changed event for chance of normal water rusalka. Later she even had a son with my dwarf smith, thats how i got second dwarf. Third joined at the end of main quest.

really? all i got for main quest was alchemist

If you go with dwarf route for main quest - as in visit dwarven village and get help from them, then get replacement heart as they say, then after defeating final boss you can choose who will join you - dwarf or alchemist.

Funny thing - if you go elven route and both capture mage and persuade elven elders (lvl 8 mental challenge), elven druid Nai-ysir will join you right after successful persuasion. If you fail to persuade elves to help she will still join you, you will just have to get replacement heart other way. I never actually tried to successfully persuade elves to help - i knew that helping reforge heart will end very badly for them. Has anybody tried this - what happens after the final boss is defeated? Do you get somebody other then alchemist to join you?

You can get the elf and the alchemist if you convince the elves to help.

I meen, you get Nai-ysir the druid after you persuade elves to help. When you defeat last boss do you have option for second elf to join you? Or only Alchemist is available?

You keep the druid and get the Alchemist also.

So no new elf as you keep druid either way :steamsad: That is why i outright surrendered to elven concil in my last game (in first i actually lost that talk - to many enemy elves) - i still get Nai-ysir, elves don't have to sacrifice themselves and i can get dwarf by going to dwarves...

Yep,
elf children mainly become gatherers. I took an elf child as card and was only offered to get a gatherer, reloaded many times but had no other options.

But even if gathering classes are normally pretty weak, the elf ones are pretty strong. With their high perceptions, skills and good chance being beautiful they are awesome archers and good in mental challenges too.

Agreed.

The Elf Child grew up to be a spectacular archer and gatherer for me.

I guess I now know why these are so rare...

Yes contrary to popular belief there is indeed reasons why some classes/characters are very hard to get.

That being said, it still feels like a Mobile game with the rarity and low chances of good things.

However, I've got an Elven Gatherer from the Elf Child Starter (Dzievanna) and he is super amazing at destroying everything in his path. That elf racial man.. Holy Mary is it powerful. Plus with like 15 or 16 wits.. super fast

I have 3 Elves with around 70 Destiny and laying down Chain Lightning. It's carnage central.

What is really over-powered is the Dwarf island Destiny-granting events.

See these classes like you would see a drop of a legendary sword with T5 material : something strong and shiny that you'll get only in some games, that would make the game special when you drop it, but that you will not enjoy every time and that you don't need to finish the game.
You'll get legendary T5 swords every single game if you make a habit of running circles around the game world and knocking over the high-tier lairs. While you're running around, you'll also probably find a few dragon encounters and stuck trolls, which also give good loot. Since that's what the game is designed for, you'd actually have to *choose* to avoid getting those loots.

Unlike the ridiculous growth RNG, which you'll see complaints about in seemingly most threads in this forum since the first day of Early Access, loot is a probabilistic curve with a very high population so you can reliably build a typical Gaussian distribution in any given playthrough. People are a scarce resource, and even in a multi-thousand turn game, the growth is suppressed via soft-cap mechanics to ensure no statistically-significant population can be achieved. Thus, the only way to see what all the game has to offer is to grind relentlessly across many playthroughs, or "cheat" through probability modding.

I get that you're a forum mod now, but stop defending the abjectly terrible reasoning behind MuHa's unabashed use of unchecked RNG. It's what they want; fine. But it's not good gaming design. Raw RNG isn't a game. It's an entropy generator with unreasonably high GPU requirements. And the hundreds of posts about how it makes the game less fun should be a good indicator that, for the average player, MuHa's driving hard for a game that won't be well-received. They had their chance with their freshman offering, and Thea was brilliant. But it wasn't perfect, and they're not learning lessons at all.

Marry me.

But seriously, all the RNG makes this feel more like a mobile game (except you don't get that many chances for the events to occur in a regular game, so... wtf?). I've taken steps in my own game to lessen that, at least with the human growth event, but I haven't done so with the Orc, Elven, Goblin, or Orcish growth events (Am I missing any? Don't think so)

Yes, having an orc or elf on its own, regardless of class can be very powerful, but trying over and over and over again for the same class (Hello Witches and Volhs) can be very tiresome. I had one game where I had THREE guslas, and not a single Successful Vohl, though I did manage to upgrade a few of my fellows to Vohls during a quest, which was good, but still!

So, I checked up with event editor. To get elven child growing up as mage you need
0) Not have it grow up as changeling
1) Two Mysticizm characters - witches, zercas apparantly do not count, elven druids too
2) OR Elven mage - Druid do not count - obliously bug, considering that mages can train both classes
3) Be wery lucky and get 5% chance for this option - with version i'm using having tendency to memory leak on realod - not very viable
4) Have mysticism at least 7 to become mage and pass another chance check, if failed then have at least 6 to become druid and chance check again.

So I used event editor to add druid to check, and up chance from 5 to 50. This edition already got me new druid, but i wanted mage so i will have to retry after i return from vacation

Could I just get a little clarity - Two Mysticism characters, do they have to be in the same group as the child when the growing up timer reaches zero, or can they be roaming somewhere else in the world?

Does the destiny increase apply to all characters in the group or just the elves?
