Curse removal ritual sucks
For how expensive it is, itis worthless. Needs tons of materials, and then you still have to use it 3-4 times to even remove the curse.

The needed material cost should either be drastically reduces so you can actually afford doing the ritual 3-4 times right after another, or it should be changed to be guaranteed to remove any curse instantly after one go.

In my playthrough, every time I've been cursed, within 3 or 4 turns an event will pop up that allows me to talk to a witch who will remove the curse for a reasonable price. This has made using a curse removal ritual completely untested for me.

I think having curse removal take a long time, instead of costing large amounts of resources, could be a way the game is changed.

Currently it does cost huge amounts + needing 3-4 times using the ritual. So super expensive + time consuming. It should only be one of the two but not both together.

I have to agree it's not really worth the research point and current cost. If it were the same cost as the faith regeneration ritual and removed a curse each time, I would consider it.

Wow.

I've never used the ritual either since the witch pops up fast enough. I always thought it's a single shot for a full curse wipe but if you have to use it multiple times that sounds really harsh. Should probably test it around some to get a first hand feel.

Of course, if curses are meant to be a big deal and a tough nut to deal with the ritual might be alright as is. Just the removal events should be toned down in that case.

But I'm talking without really knowing what's up, should playtest this.

Maybe it's a little too expensive, but i already had situations when it was worth it. Either because it would have been too long to return in a place where i can get curse removed, or because the event removing them weren't reliable enough.

I don't think it's a problem if the ritual isn't useful in all games, depending of various things, but maybe something a little less expensive will ensure it's a choice players will consider more often.

Or the quality of the resources should play a role in how much this ritual does!

Cause of where i was located at that point, i could only use diamonds as resource. And it needed 100 of them per go. So... 400 diamonds down the drain till the curse was finally removed. Was not funny at all.

So yeah i still stick with my initial claim/suggestion: it sucks in its current form. Either make it cheaper, or make it remove more in one go.... or at least consider the used resources. Like simple resources remove 1 level and then each higher tier of resources an additional level. So diamonds would have removed 3 levels of a curse for example. (would still have needed to use it two times then, as my curse obviously had level 4 - would still consider that "too expensive" imho)

It is too expensive, why spend a valuable research point on something you are reluctant to use if able to anyway. Needs an overhaul.

Yeah it's realy expensive. In early game , you can be easily cursed :/ in some village you can also remove your curse.
deadsanta Feb 27, 2019 @ 7:18am
Stupid price given that once you get a witch, the starter village and a few others will just remove all your curses for *free*.

Yep, I researched it once to see what it was like and found it wasn't worth it. The totem ritual can be worth it, but this needs a serious rebalance in order to justify a 1 RP cost.
